Gary Leonard Oldman (born 21 March 1958) is an English entertainer and movie producer. Viewed as perhaps the best entertainer of his age, he is known for his adaptability and serious acting style. Oldman is the beneficiary of different honors, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and three British Academy Film Awards. His movies have earned more than $11 billion around the world, making him one of the greatest netting entertainers to date.
Oldman started acting in the venue in 1979 and made his film debut in Remembrance (1982). He rose to noticeable quality in British film with his depictions of Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy (1986), Joe Orton in Prick Up Your Ears (1987) and Rosencrantz in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990), while likewise standing out as the head of a posse of football lawbreakers in the TV film The Firm (1989).
